Mill-cut steel fibre

Kurganstalmost JSC was one of the first companies in Russia to have mastered the production of steel fibre for steel-fibre concrete which has worthily taken its niche in the market of new building materials. The production started in 1994. To date, exploitation of highly productive French milling machines of new generation gives the output of 8 000 ton a year. At the present time Kurganstalmost JSC manufactures fibre milled of steel slabs (Steel 3) in accordance with Russian and European standards. Manufacturing process forms a steel fibre with triangular cross-section, rough surface, end hooks, and longitudinal twisting. As the surface is free of oil and lubricants, an optimal bonding of the fibre with the surrounding concrete is reached. Mill-cut steel fibre can be used without any special machinery. When added directly to the truck mixer, steel fibres distribute absolutely homogeneously and without fibre-balling.
